Direction II

Hello all,

Several folks have stated that they'd like to see articles rather than movies, though I am at a loss to know what anyone would want. I left that up to other posters when Disqus had channels. For the most part I put up my book, old warbirds, and flicks, while other folks like Leo and Joshua put up human interest and some political stuff, with NULL putting up his occasional satires.

As many of you are aware, politics and religion leaves me cold; all it does is cause trouble, so I generally avoid both like the plague. I have my opinions, yes, but I will not waste my time arguing them. I know that I will never convince anyone of my viewpoints and there is little chance of anyone changing my jaded mind on much of anything; it's human nature.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out some way to monetize this blog, as I cannot devote much time to it unless I can make some money from it, probably in the form of a donation button. I am not a wealthy man; I'm still trying to put together the materials to finish my roof and other desperately needed repairs to my house. I've been doing piecework for a man who pays me for repairing wiring harnesses for semi-trailers, as I can repair most anything electrical or electronic; that and my Ebay sales are keeping me going. I figure if I could raise funds from this venture as well it would give me an incentive to create and post quality content, and perhaps even move this blog to an actual website.

Writing and putting articles together takes time. At present, I have no way of having "guest posters" other than me cutting and pasting a submitted article from the comment section to create a post; that unfortunate fact leaves it up to me to make this blog fly.

If you have content that you would like posted here, put it in the comment section with "SUBMISSION" at the top, and please make it tasteful. I will have to reject anything that is pornographic, threatening or defamatory; I hope that is quite clear. I also reserve the right to edit text for grammar and spelling, and will inform the submitter of changes made.

That said - I would appreciate any suggestions with regard to articles, videos, commentary, human interest, and so forth, even some political stuff, though I would prefer it not too far left or too far right leaning. Please feel free to comment below; I think I'll put up Chapter One of my book next, but I wager most of you have already read it.

Let me know what you think of my ideas and let me know yours; thanks.
