Social Media, Double Standards, and the Story They Don’t Want You to Read
RightWing.org) – There are the stories that big tech and much of the media want you to read and the stories they don’t want you to know anything about. For decades, there was never any doubt that the media leaned left. Over the last four years, it’s become apparent that social media giants Facebook and Twitter have joined them.
A few months ago, Twitter began blocking some of President Donald Trump’s tweets. Now, it’s a full-on frontal assault on anything that will hurt a Democrat. We live in dark times when mass censorship occurs by a few big tech companies who actively decide who sees the news and who could win an election.
On Wednesday, October 14, the New York Post released an explosive article highlighting how Democratic nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden may have used their positions for financial gain and were less than honest about their dealings.
Emails Show the Biden’s Lied
According to the Post’s story, a computer store owner in Delaware took possession of a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden. A customer brought in a water-damaged MacBook Pro for repair and never retrieved the computer or paid for the repair. The owner of the shop says he repeatedly tried to contact the customer. He couldn’t verify if Hunter had dropped off the laptop, but it had a Beau Biden foundation sticker on it.
On the computer were emails believed to be between the younger Biden and Vadym Pozharskyi, a former top-level executive at Bursima, and later an adviser to the company’s board. The emails acknowledge that Hunter helped facilitate a meeting between Pozharskyi and the vice president, and he allegedly asked Hunter to use his influence on the company’s behalf.
Additional emails allegedly reveal Hunter tried to cash in big on behalf of his family and a Chinese firm.
Photos of a Delaware federal subpoena show the FBI also seized the computer and hard drive.
Hunter Biden received $50,000 per month to sit on the board of Bursima, a known corrupt energy company in Ukraine, for his service on the board. Last year, questions began arising about the younger Biden’s qualifications to serve on an energy company board. He had no knowledge or experience in energy. His only qualification – he was the son of the sitting Vice President of the United States.
In September, the Senate Homeland Security Committee released an 87-page document revealing the millions of dollars Hunter was receiving and moving around from Russian oligarchs.
When President Trump asked Ukraine to look into the situation on a call with the Ukrainian president, he was wrongly impeached by the Democratic-led House of Representatives.
The Media and Social Media Respond with Mass Censorship
Other than conservative media outlets, the mainstream media put the kibosh on the story. Instead of asking questions or making the case that the report was false, a media blackout was instituted by some well-known media personalities who told their large followings not to share the story. Some even claimed it was Russian disinformation.
Facebook and Twitter took it to another level and repressed the story on their platforms. In particular, Twitter blocked the New York Post story because they don’t want to incentivize hacking. In addition, they completely shut down the Post’s Twitter page. Twitter also shut down the White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany for sharing the story.
Forget the fact that the New York Post is one of the largest newspapers in the United States. If this was Twitter’s concern, where were they when someone illegally obtained President Trump’s tax records and published them? The Washington Post and CNN have also reported on faulty information that was provided by unnamed sources. The fake Steele Dossier used to justify the spying on the Trump campaign can still be shared freely on social media.
There’s No Good Reason
Twitter founder Jack Dorsey responded on Twitter.

Notice he didn’t apologize for preventing the public from reading the news. They didn’t have a sound argument for why it was appropriate. They didn’t try to defend it. Dorsey said they just needed to explain it better. However, there is no good explanation.
This is the kind of action the Chinese government does to repress negative press. This is mass censorship the country has never before seen, at best it’s a threat to the First Amendment.
Is the Media Protecting Biden?
The question is now an obvious one – are the media and tech giants protecting Joe Biden? With a little more than two weeks before the election, it seems odd they are going to this length to suppress a news article that is detailed, full of images, and can be corroborated.
Some have begun questioning if the media and social media tech giants just gave Biden a massive in-kind donation worth millions of dollars. Additionally, are their actions a form of election interference?
The media was extremely interested in Russia’s 2016 election interference and if Trump was involved with them.
Maybe the issue is a lot closer to home?
