Observations... with regard to "Internet Weirdos"...

Social media is an interesting psychological study, although I never expected such places to be filled to the gunwales with obviously lonely obsessive-compulsive, maladjusted individuals, people with chips on their shoulders, and self-convinced intransigents who think only their worldview is the correct one. Some of them can actually be amusing; I laugh out loud at their clumsy remarks. Many are so idiotic that they might as well have been written by an ignorant teenager, pissed at a teacher who kept them for detention, or made them write "I will not chew gum in class" 200 times.

You know who they are; no names are needed.

After rumination, I suspect that many of them suffer from some mental or physical infirmity that prevents them from having a normal job or social life, which leaves them only with the Internet as some form of release.

I can only imagine what other anomalies they may exhibit, especially in a sexual sense, as all human beings require some sort of "gratification". When there is no partner available, things can get really weird, as illustrated by the hordes of perverts collared by the authorities every year. It would not surprise me in the least that some of the "trolls" encountered on Disqus are forty-five year old virgins, or women who make creatures like Kathy Griffin or Whoopi Goldberg look like Miss America.

As an example - I envision an odoriferous, 480 pound man or woman, sitting in their underwear, probably in a wheelchair. He or she is angrily typing away, trying to annoy other people for crimes, real or imagined, dreamed up in their warped and friendless minds. In a pathetic attempt to gain attention for themselves, they choose a target, and try to harass and goad their target into responding, which gives them some form of gratification. They must have some really fucked up brain chemistry, to say the least. It is plainly evident the vast majority of them are meek, cringing cowards who hide behind a closed profile, employing proxies to get around IP bans and the like.

My suggestion for dealing with such deviates is to simply ignore them, as Disqus will do absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. They have an agenda of their own - to censor the opinions of those they do not agree with, using their specially created Disqus downvote robot, which effortlessly destroys the online reputations of the posters they have so chosen.

Oh well, enough commentary on the pitiful and impotent trolls of Disqus, please feel free to express your thoughts below...
