CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin was caught masturbating during a staff-wide zoom call for The New Yorker magazine as the publication prepared for election night.
“The sources said that when the groups returned from their breakout rooms, Toobin lowered the camera,” Vice News reported. “The people on the call said they could see Toobin touching his penis. Toobin then left the call. Moments later, he called back in, seemingly unaware of what his colleagues had been able to see, and the simulation continued.”
Toobin apologized and claimed exposing himself to co-workers and engaging in a lewd act was a simple “accident.”
“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers,” Toobin wrote in a statement. “I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.”
The New Yorker suspended Toobin indefinitely, but fake news CNN merely allowed Toobin to take some time off.
Now it looks like Toobin will keep his job despite his disgusting behavior because the network finds him too valuable.
