Navy Veteran Taking On Maxine Waters For House Seat: ‘She’s Lost A Lot Of Trust’ Of Her Constituents
Navy veteran Joe E. Collins is a pro-President Donald Trump Republican and he has raised more than $3 million to rid the nation of the political career of Waters, Fox News reported.
“You would think that when you are a Black leader in the Black community, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the people that are in your district have what they need in order to survive during times like COVID-19, but, unfortunately, that has not been the case,” he said.
“We have tons of black-owned businesses here in Los Angeles that have not been able to receive any type of business. Not from the state, not from the city, not from the federal government. The majority of the reason is because of Maxine Waters,” he added.
“People want to see Maxine Waters gone,” Collins said.
“Coming back home and seeing things considerably worse, especially with the homeless pandemic, the lack of quality jobs, and our education being among dead last in our country,” Collins said.
“The prime issue here is the person who has the most influence and that person is Maxine Waters,” he said.
“Me being a resident of South Los Angeles, I think that we as young people have to step up and start taking roles in our community and start removing aged politicians from office so we can start moving forward productively,” he said.
The interview comes days after Waters found herself getting involved in a traffic stop. Over the weekend, a video scorched across social media showing Waters getting out of her SUV to speak with a black motorist who had been pulled over by the police during a traffic stop in Los Angeles, California.
A video of the exchange appears to show Waters reportedly saying that the cops had “stopped a brother.”
Earlier this year, Waters angrily declared that Trump is a “liar” who should “shut his mouth” on the coronavirus outbreak.
Waters said, “It’s been said over and over again that you cannot trust this president. Not only is he a liar, but he also does not believe in anything scientific.”
She added, “So the President of the United States cannot be relied upon. Someone said he needs to be quiet. He needs to shut his mouth. And he should do that and allow CDC and NIH and others to deal with this issue and to help us through it.”
Funny, I thought the CDC and NIH were working on a vaccine. Can you not read Maxine? Or are you just stupid?
