Did Biden Just Suggest That Protesters Will Become More Violent If He Isn’t Elected?

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden finally weighed in on the looting and rioting in several U.S. cities — but one comment gained a lot of attention.

Biden, or someone running his Twitter account, made a comment about political violence that could easily be interpreted as a veiled threat.

After weeks of Democrat-run cities burning, be ravaged, and destroyed by mobs, Biden finally denounced these actions.

“Rioting is not protesting,” Biden said in Pittsburgh Monday. “Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting.”

After calling for rioters to be prosecuted, Biden made a comment that many on social media interpreted as a threat.

“You know me,” he said. “You know my heart. You know my story, my family story. Ask yourself, do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters?”

“Do you really feel safer under Donald Trump?” Biden asked repeatedly.

“He doesn’t want to shed light, he wants to generate heat, and he’s stoking violence in our cities,” Biden said during remarks in Pittsburgh Monday. “He can’t stop the violence because for years he’s fomented it.”

“It’s lawlessness, plain and simple. And those who do it should be prosecuted,” he said.

“Donald Trump has been a toxic presence in our nation for four years,” Biden said. “Will we rid ourselves of this toxin? Or will we make it a permanent part of our nation’s character?”

He cast Trump’s “law and order” message as designed to instill fear, and Trump is ignoring the reality that “he is President, whether he knows it or not.”

Biden called Trump’s “subservient role” to Russian President Vladimir Putin humiliating and embarrassing, and lambasted Trump over reports that Russian operatives had offered bounties to the Taliban to kill US soldiers.

“Not even American troops can feel safer under President Trump,” Biden said.

Either Biden or someone else also tried claiming on Twitter that President Trump is to blame for the violence taking place in these liberal cities.

“Does anyone believe there will be less violence in America if Donald Trump is reelected?” Biden’s Twitter account asked.

This triggered an onslaught of responses from people who viewed Biden’s comments as him basically saying there will be more violence and riots if he loses the election.




Trump took to Twitter to respond to Biden’s speech and argued that the Democratic nominee seemed to be coming down harder on the police than the rioters and looters.



“Just watched what Biden had to say. To me, he’s blaming the Police far more than he’s blaming the Rioters, Anarchists, Agitators, and Looters, which he could never blame or he would lose the Radical Left Bernie supports!” Trump wrote.

Tiffany Trump, one of the president’s daughters, also weighed in on Biden’s comments.



“Please stop lying Joe. You may think we are too ignorant to see through the lies— but God knows the truth,” she wrote.

The Bridge: Suicide Isn't Painless

The theme song to the 1970 movie MASH is called "Suicide is Painless." It isn't, in ways I will try to explain. First of all, let's look at the act itself. Many suicide attempts are horribly botched. I recently asked an emergency medical technician what was the most unusual call he ever dealt with, and his immediate reply was someone who shot himself in the head with a .45 and survived. Rather than getting rid of his worldly problems, the man made them infinitely worse, not only for himself but many others as well. Several years ago, I watched a documentary film called The Bridge (2006) , which was about the people that jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge over the course of a year; 23 of the 24 (known) suicides from the bridge that year (2004) were recorded. Snuff films and/or anything related to them are far from my bag to say the least, but I felt compelled to watch this documentary, as my only brother killed himself by jumping from a bridge elsewhere
