Biden Plays ‘Despacito’ Song Before Speech To Latino Voters

 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was brutally mocked on Tuesday night for trying to pander to Latino voters.

While speaking at an event in Florida to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Biden created quite a stir when he tried pandering to Latino voters by playing the popular song “Despacito” before his speech.

When Biden approached the podium, he paused and reached for his phone in his pocket.

“I just have one thing to say,” Biden began as he looked down at his phone. “Hang on here.”

He then held his phone to the microphone, which began playing the 2017 hit song “Despacito” from Fonsi, who had introduced the candidate at the event.

After roughly 15 seconds of bobbing his head and dancing behind the podium, he paused the music.

“I’ll tell you what- if I had the talent of any one of these people, I’d be elected president by acclamation,” Biden chuckled.

Critics piled on the former VP over the “cringe” moment.

“Oh my,” CBS News correspondent Ed O’Keefe reacted.

“Does @JoeBiden realize that Despacito means ‘slowly’? Fits well with Slow Joe,” Trump campaign senior adviser Mercedes Schlapp quipped.

“This is so unbelievably cringe,” tweeted Erielle Davidson, a senior policy analyst at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America.

Earlier this week, a new poll was released that showed President Donald Trump is winning that battle over Biden in Florida with Latino voters.

This is so significant because Latinos voted overwhelmingly for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election — and Trump still won the swing state.

According to an NBC News/Marist poll of 766 likely voters conducted between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6, Trump and Biden are tied with 48 percent support in the state, but Trump has 50 percent support among Latinos compared to 46 percent support for Biden.

In 2016, Clinton won 62 percent of the Latino vote in Florida compared to Trump’s 35 percent.

So even if Trump and Biden split the Latino vote evenly, that would be catastrophic for the former vice president.

Trump’s support among Latinos has a lot to do with the state’s high Cuban population.

This is likely due to the fact that many Cubans living in Florida fled the communist nation, or have family who did.

With many Democrats championing the concept of democratic socialism, it seems as if many Latinos are either not supporting Democrats and/or have decided to support Trump.

Latinos are not the only group where Trump is seeing rising support.

Last week, a new poll revealed that Trump is winning that battle over Biden in North Carolina, a crucial swing state that both sides are fighting hard to win.

Trump now leads Biden by 49 percent to 47 percent in North Carolina.

Other recent polls from Michigan and Wisconsinshould also have Democrats worried.

The Bridge: Suicide Isn't Painless

The theme song to the 1970 movie MASH is called "Suicide is Painless." It isn't, in ways I will try to explain. First of all, let's look at the act itself. Many suicide attempts are horribly botched. I recently asked an emergency medical technician what was the most unusual call he ever dealt with, and his immediate reply was someone who shot himself in the head with a .45 and survived. Rather than getting rid of his worldly problems, the man made them infinitely worse, not only for himself but many others as well. Several years ago, I watched a documentary film called The Bridge (2006) , which was about the people that jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge over the course of a year; 23 of the 24 (known) suicides from the bridge that year (2004) were recorded. Snuff films and/or anything related to them are far from my bag to say the least, but I felt compelled to watch this documentary, as my only brother killed himself by jumping from a bridge elsewhere
