Jabaseat
Insane “Jabaseat” Event Actually Vaccinated Passengers on a 787 Aircraft
Say what?
Yes, it’s true. Air New Zealand hosted an event called “Jabaseat” where they transformed a 787 aircraft into a vaccination clinic, and just wait until you hear the details.
A few “lucky” Aucklanders boarded their “flight” for a “destination vacation”… got jabbed in the arm…
…and then got to enjoy “free airline snacks” as a perk.
Patronizing much!?
Hoping to convince people to sign up, the Air New Zealand Facebook event listed all the “perks” of getting jabbed on a 787:
“In addition to a behind-the-scenes glimpse of an aircraft hanger, visitors will tour Business Premier™, enjoy free inflight snacks and receive a special boarding pass to commemorate the moment.
People will board through the front door into Business Premier, where they will receive one dose of the Pfizer vaccine in their arm of choice.
Vaccines will be administered by Tāmaki Health. They will then move through the cabin into Economy where a snack service will commence while they wait to disembark after the observation period.
Face masks will need to be worn throughout Saturday’s flight and physical distancing will be practiced, ensuring customer and crew safety.”
Are you nauseated yet?
We’ve reached the point where those wishing to force vaccinations are bribing people like little children – promising a “tour” and “free snacks” if they agree to get the shot.
Absolute madness!
But before we mock them too much, remember our own President promised to buy Americans (21 and up, at least) a “free beer” if enough Americans got the jab by a certain date.
As it turns out, New Zealand isn’t the only place offering vaccines in strange places in hopes to pique interest.
CNN reported:
“In New York City, some people were able to get their shots underneath the famous blue whale at the American Museum of Natural History, while in Sweden some lucky Stockholmers signed up to get vaccinated in the Nobel Prize Banquet Hall.”
Well – all the Proud American Travelers I know who have no intentions of getting vaccinated aren’t going to change their minds just because they’re offered the chance to do it at a swanky place.
But I guess some people are easily enticed.
And if you had your heart set on traveling to New Zealand this year – don’t count on it.
The borders are still closed to most visitors unless you have an approved request to travel.
And beginning November 1, all foreign nationals entering New Zealand must be vaccinated, reported CNN.
With the way things are headed here in America, I wouldn’t be surprised if more “Jabaseat” events or other unique ways to get the shot will be marketed… if not mandated.
Would being bribed to get vaccinated aboard a 787 convince you to get the shot?
