And Fox News reported blockbuster inside information about Joe Biden firing Kamala Harris.
Joe Biden turned 79 on Saturday and his clear cognitive decline led many Democrats to believe Biden will not seek re-election in 2024.
Donald Trump’s likely comeback and multiple polls showing Trump leading Biden also heightened the intensity surrounding Democrats’ desire to push the fading Biden aside.
However, if Joe Biden declines to seek re-election in 2024 that leaves Vice President Kamala Harris as the likely nominee.
And Harris running against Donald Trump is even worse than a senile Joe Biden taking on Trump.
Harris’ approval rating in a USA Today/Suffolk poll sunk to 28 percent – 10 points lower than Joe Biden’s dismal 38 percent approval number.
Polling data shows Harris is the least popular vice president in the last 50 years due in large part to her failure as the administration’s border czar to control the illegal immigration crisis.
Harris tries to make as little news as possible and the corporate media tries to wrap her in a protective cocoon of positive coverage, but the fact that Harris still holds just a 28 percent approval rating has Democrats looking for a substitute.
Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters reported the network’s Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram “has been hearing whispers suggesting there could be some new high-profile confirmation hearings on the horizon in the House of Representatives.”
Watters explained that the House looking to hold confirmation hearings is significant because the only official the House confirms is the vice president if there is a replacement in the middle of a president’s term.
“Why is this a big deal?” Watters added. “Because the House does not confirm normal nominees, but it does confirm vice presidential nominees. Does this have something to do with Kamala Harris?”
Pergram then appeared on the program to say that the source tipped him off to the fact that Pergram should get himself acquainted with how the House of Representatives and the Senate confirm a vice president.
“Here is a window into my world. As you know, I appreciate congressional process and mechanics. So I got a message recently from someone who knows Capitol Hill very well and they suggested I should familiarize myself with the process to confirm a vacancy for the vice president in the Senate and in the House. To be clear — to be clear — this is not something to say that something is afoot here, but I always do my homework especially about process, Vice President Nelson Rockefeller who served under President Ford, was the last vice president confirmed by Congress. The Senate and House must confirm a vice president,” Pergram stated.
Should Joe Biden drop Kamala Harris there would be one giant roadblock.
The House confirming Harris’ success is an easy lift since the Democrats hold a majority.
But the Senate is split 50/50 among Democrats and Republicans.
Confirming Harris’ successor would require a Republican to cross the aisle and that would be difficult to see happen for any Democrat considered anything other than a caretaker and not a threat to win the White House in 2024.
