Biden still having Sr. Moments

Biden Appears to Forget Name Joe Biden had an event at the White House on Monday, and it could not have been more disastrous.

Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals for combat commands.

The only problem was, as he was talking about retired General and current Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Biden appeared to forget who his Secretary of Defense is.

The Guy

If this were not so disturbing, it would be hysterical.

As Biden was talking about Austin, he just completely blanked.

He stated, “And I want to thank the sec — the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my — the guy who runs that outfit over there.

“I want to make sure we thank the secretary for all he’s done to try to implement what we just talked about. And for recommending these two women for promotion.”

Now, earlier in the presser, Biden mentioned Austin by name, but he appeared to be reading from a teleprompter at the time

When Biden forgot Austin’s name, it was more of an off-the-cuff remark.

As far as the appointments are concerned, Air Force Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost has been nominated to lead the US Transportation Command, and Army Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson was nominated to lead the US Southern Command.

The appointments will not be finalized until the two officers are confirmed by the Senate.

If they are confirmed, they would be the second and third female generals to hold command positions.

The first being Air Force Gen. Lori Robinson, who was charged with leading the U.S. Northern Command from 2016-2018.

Robinson retired from service on June 7, 2018, a highly decorated officer, including the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal with two bronze oak leaf clusters and the Bronze Star with one bronze oak leaf cluster.
