Alec Baldwin in hot water

Alec Baldwin is in hot water after one bombshell revelation about his shooting incident

Alec Baldwin is losing the battle for his reputation in the court of public opinion.

His attempts to shift blame for a fatal shooting on a film set are not working.

Now Baldwin is in more hot water after one bombshell revelation about his shooting incident.

People still want to know precisely what happened when Alec Baldwin shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during filming of the western Rust.

Baldwin said he never pulled the trigger, but firearms experts rebut that outlandish assertion.

Now Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the film, is laying out her side of the story in a lawsuit against PDQ Arm and Prop LLC, the company that supplied the weapons and ammunition for the suit.

Gutierrez-Reed said in her lawsuit that Baldwin shrugged off her requests for the lead actor to undergo firearm training, and also said that Assistant Director David Halls did not follow protocol by not alerting her that filming was about to take place.

The suit alleges:

“Had Hannah been called back in, she would have re-inspected the weapon, and every round again, and instructed Baldwin on safe gun practice with the cross draw, as was her standard practice on set and under circumstances where (1) Baldwin did not respond to Hannah’s request on October 15 to schedule cross draw training and (2) the gun had been out of her possession for 15 minutes.”

According to Gutierrez-Reed, PDQ Arm and Prop supplied the film shoot with a live bullet when only dummy rounds were supposed to be used.

The lawsuit includes multiple text messages that suggest the entire film shoot was in utter disarray.

Gutierrez-Reed is the daughter of famed Hollywood armorer Thell Reed, but she is a relative novice in terms of running a production as the armorer.

She also claims that she was forced to pull double duty as a prop assistant.

Both Gutierrez-Reed and Seth Kenney, owner of PDQ, paint AD Halls as incompetent at his job via text messages.

After the shooting incident, Kenney supposedly attempted to recruit Gutierrez-Reed to heap all of the blame on Halls.

Kenney texted:

“Had you partnered up with a truly professional AD, none of this would have happened… That true professional would have supported your safe efforts. Instead you got David ‘reckless’ Halls.”

None of this bodes well for Baldwin.

Not only was he the lead actor and had the gun in his hand, he was the producer on a film shoot that sounds like it was an unmitigated disaster.

Baldwin is also facing suits from other crew members for his role in the Hutchin’s tragic death.
