Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a rising star in the Republican Party.
DeSantis isn’t exactly someone Disney would naturally align with, given the company’s quest to be as woke as possible.
But Disney just made a major move that ironically could benefit Ron DeSantis.
Companies and residents are leaving California in droves.
The excessive taxes and burdensome regulations are making even long-time lovers of the state find greener pastures.
Just the other day, Disney announced that they, too, will be moving thousands of jobs out of California.
According to a letter circulated to employees, Disney is headed east to sunny, Republican-run Florida.
The irony is not lost on anyone that one of the “wokest” companies in the world is moving jobs to the state run by quite possibly the most conservative sitting Governor in the country.
Sources say that the move is due in large part to Florida being a far more pro-business environment.
The letter stated in part:
This new project will create a dynamic environment to support our expanding business – a brand-new regional campus which will be built in the vibrant Lake Nona community of Orlando, Florida . . .
In addition to Florida’s business-friendly climate, this new regional campus gives us the opportunity to consolidate our teams and be more collaborative and impactful both from a creative and operational standpoint.
Clearly, even Disney understands that a conservative Governor runs a more business-friendly state than a radically left-wing Governor like Gavin Newsom.
Ron DeSantis just can’t stop winning.
Florida’s pro-business policies and determination to not lockdown during COVID has proven that it is the place to be for businesses that want to survive and thrive.
Unlike California Governor Gavin Newsom, who continues to raise taxes, enforce COVID mandates, and misuse state resources.
The government-imposed COVID lockdowns have wreaked havoc on businesses across the country, and the bosses at Disney can see the writing on the wall.
Earlier this year, Disney was forced to lay off more than 32,000 employees. Disney may be riding the woke train with the rest of the leftists, but no one can doubt the company’s business model.
Even radical leftists have to admit that Ron DeSantis might actually know what he’s doing.
